Installation Terms & Conditions
Mr & Mrs Hill Lighting – Installations

These Terms and Conditions apply to all lighting installation services provided by Mr & Mrs Hill Lighting Pty Ltd. By accepting a quote, paying a deposit, or proceeding with a booking, you agree to the following terms:
1. Quotes & Validity

All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Changes to scope, access, or event details may require a revised quote.
2. Bookings & Deposits

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

Final balance is due 14 days before the installation date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Payment Terms

Full payment must be received prior to installation.

Delayed payment may result in a cancelled or postponed install.

Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, credit card, Stripe, or approved alternatives.

Late payments may incur a 10% surcharge.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
-
Cancellations more than 30 days prior: deposit is forfeited.

Cancellations 14–30 days prior: 75% of total fee is payable.

Cancellations less than 14 days prior: 100% of the total fee is payable.

In the case of severe weather or force majeure, we will work with you to reschedule. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5. Installation Requirements

The Client must ensure clear, safe, and accessible site conditions on install day.

Power access must be available and operational.

Additional charges may apply for delays caused by restricted access, unprepared sites, or last-minute changes.

Clients are responsible for securing any permits or council approvals if required.
6. Liability & Vandalism

We are not liable for damage or injury arising from unauthorised modifications, extreme weather, or third-party interference.

We take care during install and removal, but cannot accept liability for property damage unless caused by proven negligence.

Vandalism or damage occurring after installation is the Client’s responsibility. Any repair work will be quoted separately.

Lighting is a temporary installation and must not be tampered with after completion.
7. Warranty & Maintenance

A 30-day workmanship warranty applies from the date of install.

One complimentary maintenance visit is included. Additional visits will be charged at an hourly rate.

Warranty excludes damage caused by weather, vandalism, animals, or unauthorised tampering.
8. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or service failure caused by events outside our control — including weather events, natural disasters, power outages, or government restrictions.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under NSW jurisdiction.
