Mr & Mrs Hill Lighting – Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of lighting installation services by Mr & Mrs Hill Lighting Pty Ltd (“the Company”) to you (“the Client”). By accepting a quote or making a deposit, you agree to the following terms:
1. Quotation and Validity
1.1 All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
1.2 Any changes to the scope, site access, or event details after acceptance may result in a revised quote.
2. Bookings & Deposits
2.1 A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
2.2 Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
2.3 The remaining balance is due 14 days before installation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Full payment must be received prior to installation.
3.2 If payment is not received on time, the Company reserves the right to delay or cancel the installation.
3.3 Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, credit card, Stripe, or other methods approved by the Company.
3.4 Late payments may incur a 10% surcharge.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
4.1 Cancellations made more than 30 days before installation will forfeit the deposit.
4.2 Cancellations made 14–30 days before installation will be charged 75% of the total quote.
4.3 Cancellations made less than 14 days before the installation date are non-refundable in full.
4.4 In the event of extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control, we will work with you to reschedule. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5. Installation & Site Requirements
5.1 The Client must ensure the site is ready and accessible at the agreed bump-in time.
5.2 Power access must be available for installation and operation of lighting.
5.3 Additional charges may apply if delays occur due to restricted access, site changes, or lack of preparation.
5.4 It is the Client’s responsibility to secure any council permits or required approvals.
6. Liability, Damage & Vandalism
6.1 We take every precaution during install and removal, but are not liable for property damage unless caused by gross negligence.
6.2 We are not liable for any injuries, property damage, or failures arising from misuse, tampering, or unauthorised modifications post-installation.
6.3 Any damage or vandalism after completion is the Client’s responsibility. Agreed repair work will be invoiced separately.
6.4 The Client acknowledges that lighting is a temporary installation and must not be altered or moved by anyone other than Company personnel.
7. Warranty & Maintenance
7.1 A 30-day workmanship warranty applies from the date of installation, covering any faults due to installation.
7.2 One complimentary maintenance visit is included. Additional visits will be billed at an hourly rate.
7.3 Warranty does not cover damage caused by extreme weather, vandalism, tampering, or third-party interference.
8. Force Majeure
8.1 The Company will not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, power outages, government restrictions, or severe weather.
9. Governing Law
9.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
9.2 Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of New South Wales courts.
10. Acceptance of Terms
10.1 By proceeding with a booking, paying a deposit, or accepting a quote, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions in full.
10.2 These Terms form a binding agreement between the Client and Mr & Mrs Hill Lighting Pty Ltd.

E-Commerce Online Store Refund policy
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at admin@mrandmrshill.com.au. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
